All is well

All is well in the King household. Annie was at daycare today so I spent 1.5 hours at Callum's school doing reading with his class. I love spending time with the kids and it reminds me why I had wanted to be a teacher years ago (note to self - look into what qualifications I need to get to be a teacher or teacher's assistant). When I got home I mowed the lawn and then gave myself an hour to relax on the lounge and have lunch. I'd earned it. ;)

Callum had a friend over this afternoon to play. It is interesting watching the two boys. Each has their own strengths and weaknesses. Each has areas where they are wise beyond their years, and each has areas where they really act their age. Each has a lot to teach the other.

Annabelle has worked out how to climb up on to the lounge, but not how to get off (without hitting the floor hard). Poor little thing!

Oh, and I lost another 0.5kg, bringing my total to 3kg lost this year. Go me! :)

Here are a couple of layouts from the retreat weekend.

If you want to talk to someone about what you need to do to become a teacher, let me know and I'll send you Tan's email!
Glad things are good, and I'm proud of you!

Congratulations on the weight loss Cass, that is wonderful.

I also get the lawns mowed when Lillee is at school. Otherwise I have to do it in my lunch break when she naps. lol

Your layouts are gorgoeus Cass, Annie sure is growing up too fast. Poor thing, I hope she hasn't taken too many tumbles off the lounge.

I am sensing optimism and energy. And yes, GO CASS (or rather, 'go away, excess weight, Cass). Very well done. I note that you have lost nearly 1/4 of your target, and almost 1/4 of the way through the year. (Guess who is married to a mathematician.) I AM IMPRESSED and PROUD.

Also, a friend of mine is doing PG quals for secondary teaching, totally online, so if you want clues as to how she found it let me know and I'll email the story in full.

love d.
